Glass Life Cycle

Day Two: My Transformation

It was bright and early when I woke up in the glass making plant. There was so many people making so much noise. All of a sudden I was picked up with other grains and then placed on a conveyor belt. All of the moving made me sick to my stomach. My whole life I never moved that much so to go from being grounded to all of this motion was not good at all. Then all of the moving came to a halt. My eyes wandered upwards to see "soda ash" and "limestone". Eventually the other things that I saw were emptied into my container. I was very hesitance at first, but then I realized the other materials were very friendly too. We became very good friends for the short time that we were together. The temperature began to rise. I became very sweaty and hot from the increasing temperature. The heat was unbearable at this moment. As the the conveyor belt continued to move I saw a bright light at the end. It looked like a burning light. I eventually passed out from exhaustion.

I woke up feeling different. I know it was a good different. I felt strong and refined. Almost as if I could do anything. It felt like I was something else. I noticed that the soda ash and the limestone were closer to me now than they were before. It was like we were one in the same. I also noticed my color changed too. I began to put things together. I realized we had to be heated at very high temperatures to be formed together. As I was contemplating everything that just happened I then concluded that they were not done with me yet.
